A BIG Warm Welcome Back to our Little Cricket’s Children!

We are absolutely delighted to be able to open our doors and
welcome some of our children back into the day care. We hope that
we can do the same for all our other children really soon too! Just a
reminder that we will notify our parents when we have been advised
by the Government when all other children can return.

Hygiene at the day care:

May 31, 2020

At Little Crickets, the children have been really good at maintaining a high standard of personal hygiene. It has been so lovely to see the children washing their hands whilst singing various songs that they have learnt. The children have been making good use of their new cleaning stations and washing their hands frequently in their indoor and outdoor environment.

A BIG Warm Welcome Back to our Little Cricket’s Children!

We are absolutely delighted to be able to open our doors and welcome some of our children back into the day care. We hope that we can do the same for all our other children really soon too! Just a reminder that we will notify our parents when we have been advised by the Government when all other children can return. We are pleased to say that our re-opening has got off to a really positive and successful start. The support from parents and the excitement from all our children returning has been phenomenal! It is fantastic that the children are so happy to be back at the day care. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our parents for such wonderful feedback and support during these difficult times. It has been lovely to see all the wonderful home learning and photographs over the last couple of months. All our parents have done an amazing job at keeping our Little Cricketers busy and entertained from home! We will continue to email across home-learning and delicious recipes as not all of our children are able to return to the day care as yet.

Ants Room

The Ants have been having fun with transport. They have been train printing, star decorating, making a splash by washing the cars, singing transport songs such as Zoom Zoom and reading transport stories. As part of Chinese New Year they also painted and decorating their lanterns.

Feb 2020 - Butterflies Room

February 03, 2020

The Butterflies Children have been caring for babies! The children have been great nurturers by feeding the babies, changing nappies, putting the babies to sleep in their role-play area. The Butterflies particularly enjoyed making porridge with the practitioners for the babies to eat. Thank you so much to Lexie’s parents who brought in Lexie’s baby brother as part of the topic. The children were really excited that he came to visit. Thank you also for bringing in an entertainer for Lexie’s birthday; this was great fun for everyone! Animals have also been a topic in the Butterflies Room. The children discovered noises made by animals and were introduced to animal habitats. Butterflies children got very creative doing animal printing and making animal masks.
For Chinese New Year the children watched an exciting video of a Chinese parade and celebrated by having a parade of their own!
